Bernard Courtemanche Obituary
1941 - 2013 NORTH ADAMS Bernard Joseph Courtemanche, 72, of 743 Massachusetts Ave., North Adams, died Friday, February 22, 2013, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
He was born in North Adams on February 3, 1941, son of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Blain) Courtemanche. He attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Pittsfield High School after his family moved to Pittsfield. He was employed at General Electric and was last employed as a driver for U.P.S. for over 20 years. He also was a driver part-time for J.T. Bus Lines .
Survivors include his wife Patricia (Atwell) Lescarbeau-Courtemanche whom he married June 30, 1990. He was a very kind, devoted and loving husband who will always be loved. He is also survived by two daughters, Cheryl Doherty and her husband James of Virginia and Karyl Courtemanche of Colorado; one son, Jaryl Courtemanche and his wife Stephanie of Colorado; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three stepsons, Timothy Lescarbeau and his wife Lisa of North Adams, Todd Lescarbeau and his wife Staci of Greenfield and Thomas Lescarbeau of Texas; seven step-grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren; one brother, Francis Courtemanche of California, and one sister, Barbara Boden and her husband, Glen, of Pittsfield. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Ernest Courtemanche.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will take place Friday at 8:15 A.M. at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00 A.M. at St. Elizabeth Church, North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling Hours at the funeral home are Thursday from 4-7 P.M.
Memorial donations are suggested for the American Lung Assoc., Donor's Choice or VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home. To send a card, flowers, gifts or a message please visit www.flynndagnolifuneralhomes.com.
