Bernard P. Donovan age 67 of Walnut passed away on Tuesday Feb. 24, 2026 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. He was born on April 15, 1958 in Mendota, IL the son of Paul and Dolores (Lampe) Donovan. Bernard worked for Northwestern Steel and Wire in Sterling, St. Marys Cement in Dixon, and as a bus driver for Bureau Valley School District. He married Sara Jo Stahr on Sept. 17, 1994 in Amboy, IL. Bernard is preceded in death by his parents, and brother James Donovan. He is survived by his wife Sara, son Paul Donovan, and sister Mary Donovan of Westmont, IL. Funeral services will be on Saturday March 7, 2026 at 10:30 AM at Immanuel Lutheran in Amboy. Burial of cremated remains will be at a later date at Woodside Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday March 7, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Immanuel Lutheran in Amboy. Memorial donations can be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Amboy and St. Jude Childrens Hospital. Arrangements by the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Condolences can be left at www.thejonesfh.com.
