Karwisch, Bernard F. "Bernie" beloved husband for 56 years of Colleen (Kirby) Karwisch died peacefully at home on February 23, 2026. Loving father of Amanda "Mandy" (Jim) Blaut, James Karwisch, Lynne (Jamey) O'Connor, and Dan Karwisch. Devoted grandfather of Adlai Karwisch, Julia Blaut, Allison Blaut, Levi Karwisch, Kelly O'Connor, Emma Blaut, TJ O'Connor, Yabus

Karwisch, Mary (Kyle) Denney, and Cara (Kevin) Fultz. Dear brother of Marge Karwisch, Arlene (Jerry) Jones, and the late Harry (Cathy) Karwisch, Paul (Pat) Karwisch, and Joan Karwisch. Bernie was a member of St. Ignatius Seniors, Purcell Council K of C #2798 and St. Isaac Jogues #0801. Bernie earned his Engineering degree at UC, did his military service as an officer in The Coast and Geodetic Survey, and graduated with his Master's degree in business at XU night school. Bernie loved to play basketball, racquetball, golf, swimming, and bowling. He also participated in the Senior Olympics. He was an avid Bengals fan and season ticket holder since 1968. He loved his Catholic Church and going to daily mass. Visitation Friday, February 27, from 5 – 8 pm at the Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home, 3155 Harrison Ave. (Westwood). Funeral Mass Saturday, 10:30 am, at St. Ignatius Church (Monfort Heights). Burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, P.O.
