Robert L "Bob" Curtis

Robert "Bob" Curtis, Jr, formerly of Sayler Park, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the age of 78. Bob was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert and Vera (Saullo) Curtis on December 23, 1947. Bob lived a life filled with hard work, love, and a passion for his country. A proud Vietnam Veteran, he served in the Air Force and carried that pride throughout his life.

Bob spent many years working as a machine operator at Monsanto, where he not only dedicated himself to his craft but also took on the role of mentor to many of his colleagues. He was known for his incredible work ethic, determination, and willingness to lend a helping hand to others.

In his free time, Bob was passionate about model trains and had a special love for cars, especially Mustangs. He spent countless hours tinkering under the hood, a favorite pastime that brought him immense joy.

His family meant the world to him. Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen, and his daughter, Christa, brother-in-law, Dennis Kilday, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews. He adored his "four-legged grandkids," including his grandcats and granddogs, showering them with love and affection.

Bob preceded in death by his son: Chad Curtis, and his parents: Robert and Vera Curtis.

Visitation will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 138 Monitor Ave, on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 11:00 am until the Blessing Service at 1:00 pm.

Memorials in Bob's honor may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A funeral home representative will be available during the services to assist with your donation.
