Bernard Lopez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Leavitt's Mortuary & Aultorest Memorial Park on Dec. 10, 2025.
Bernard Samuel Lopez, 64, of Layton, UT, passed away on November 18, 2025. He was born on January 7, 1961, in Tijuana, Mexico to Maria Adela Lopez. Bernard was a man who deeply loved God and his family. He lived his life with faith, love, and strength.
Throughout his life, Bernard was known for his strength, resiliency, and devotion. Bernard suffered a heart attack in August 2022 that would change the course of the remaining years of his life for him and his family. He spent his days studying and researching the Word of God, reading, sketching. He loved watching movies and listening to music. He always looked forward to outings with his family, especially when it involved going to coffee shops and enjoying delicious pastries. Throughout his life, he was passionate about art and reading, always taking time to educate himself, and he considered himself a lifelong learner. He also served in many different roles in church throughout the years from being president of his local Messengers of Peace to serving as the Men's president, teaching, and also serving as superintendent of his local church's Sunday School. His faith was central to who he was, and he often shared his teachings and scripture with anyone who would listen.
He is survived by his wife Angelina (Angie) Lopez, his children Emily, Raymond, and Valorie. His siblings Anna, Victor, Marcelino (JR.), and Isaac. He is also survived by his in-laws, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary & Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden. A Viewing will take place an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to relatives, friends, and their community for their love and support during this time.
