Bernard Massari Obituary

Born on December 2, 1945, in Plainfield, NJ, Bernard grew up there before marrying his beloved wife, Maria. Together they first made their home in South Plainfield before moving to Scotch Plains, where they shared many happy years until Maria's passing in 2019. He was also predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Concetta Massari.
Bernard will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Lorraine Severn and Pat Fawcett, along with many nieces and nephews. He was very close to his brothers-in-law Michael, Rich, and Dan Loreti and their families, and to his sister-in-law Lena Schreiber and her family. Bernard especially enjoyed holidays, birthdays, and summer barbecues surrounded by loved ones.
In his younger years, he loved traveling, days at the beach, and fishing. He cherished time with family, especially dinners out with Maria.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, October 2nd, 2025, from 11:30 to 12:30 at Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Ave., Fanwood, NJ. A memorial Mass will follow at 1pm at St. Batholomew the Apostle Church, 2032 Westfield Ave., Scotch Plains, NJ.
