Bernard Lee Powers II, born on January 27, 1945, in Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on October 14 2024, in Conway, Arkansas. His warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege to know him.

Bernard devoted many years of his life to his work at Southern Gas Company. Beyond his professional endeavors, he was a proud Navy Veteran, exemplifying the values of service and duty.

A loving father and grandfather, Bernard's family meant the world to him. He embraced the role of father to Lisa Marie Copeland (Jeff), Ali Powers, Bernard "Lee" Powers III and shared a special bond with his daughter-in-law, Ashley

Powers. His heart swelled with joy for his 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, who brought light into his life. Bernard also shared love and laughter with his step-daughters, Tracey Wilkinson and Tina Bewley, crafting a family built on support and affection.

Bernard had a spirit that thrived outdoors. His passions for hunting and fishing were renowned, as were his frequent adventures camping by the scenic White River. Every moment spent in nature showcased his appreciation for the world around him. He also enjoyed the thrill of riding his motorcycle when he had one, embodying the freedom of the open road.

Though Bernard is preceded in death by his father, Bernard Powers, mother, Lora Powers, and sister, Lora, his legacy of love will continue through his family. They will carry forward the memories of his laughter, his unwavering support, and the countless lessons he imparted.

A memorial service will be held on October 24, 2024, at the Smith Family Funeral Home in North Little Rock, Arkansas, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, allowing his family, friends, and all those he touched to come together in celebration of a life well-lived.

Bernard Lee Powers II leaves behind a tapestry of love woven with cherished moments, and his spirit will forever inspire those who knew him.
