Bernard Aaron Reddix

Bernard Aaron Reddix of Crowley TX, was a native of New Orleans, LA. Bernard was born on October 28, 1962, to Ms. Birdella Reddix and Charles Collins. Bernard accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at a tender age. Bernard was baptized at Pure Light Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Paul Monday. Bernard was reared in Orleans Parish where he was educated and Graduated from Booker T. Washington High School.
Bernard was employed at an earlier age by the long-standing iconic Charity Hospital of New Orleans, LA. for many years as an environmental specialist and floor technician. Later Bernard was employed by Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans as a pipe installer. After hurricane Katrina in 2005 Bernard and Shamira relocated to Fort Worth TX where he was a Supervisor contractor and technician of floors & flooring installation. Bernard worked at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital as a floor specialist. Bernard was also a Traveling Supervisor at JPS Hospital Located in Fort Worth TX.
Bernard married the love of his life "Shamira Donsereaux-Reddix" on November 06, 2021, they were united in Holy Matrimony in New Orleans, LA, officiated by Dr. Jessica Terrance.
Bernard was a cyber member of the Greater Zionfield Family Worship Center under Dr. Samuel Travis Jr. and Lady Felicia E. Travis Bernard entered into a peaceful departure from his natural life at home with his loving devoted wife Shamira D. Reddix on November 09, 2024, in Crowley, TX.
Bernard loved life. Bernard loved reading his Bible and engaging in conversations about God as well as the word of God. His favorite scripture was the 23rd Psalm.
Bernard loved listening to music and would dance till he was exhausted. Bernard loved to be around family and friends having a good time and just enjoying life. Barnard was courteous, very caring affectionate, and loved hugging and encouraging family and friends.
Bernard is preceded in death by his mother Birdella Reddix father Charles Collins, his sister Cassandra Collins, his grandparents: Alex and Dorothy Tumblin; aunts: Deanna Mayes, Johnnie Lee Lewis, Casareen; and uncles: Alton and Cleveland Tumblin.
Bernard leaves his fond and cherishable memories to all who knew Him. Bernard leaves the love of his life, his devoted wife Shamira D. Reddix to cherish their loving memories. He also leaves to cherish his memories: his children: Tyrielle, Bernisha, Jasmine, Ashonta, Tiffany, Amanda, Ashley, Big Bernard, Lil Bernard, Donell, Henry, Kristian, and N'gal; 33 grandchildren; siblings: Gerard Reddix and Terrance (Tessa) Collins; aunts: Lois Tumblin, Gaynell Tumblin, and Renae (Mario) Tumblin; uncle Wesley Tumblin; in-laws: Marilyn Coleman, and Melvin Soublet; brothers-in-law: Myron Soublet and Frank Preston; sister-in-law: Nicole Kent, Korea Hill, Tamiko (Craig) Jones, Chenell Preston; aunts-in-law: Rhonda Donsereaux, Melanie Donsereaux, Chevelle Lampkin, and Sherry (Sanders) Turner, and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends
