Bernard Warzynak Obituary
The son of Bernard and Gladys, he was also preceded in death by his brother Ed, and sister Irene. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Doris, children Dan (Mindy), Bernie (Wanda), Barbara (Gary), Brian (Jennifer) and Andy (Shauna), eight grandchildren (Greg, Chrissie, Tyler, Dylan, Jacob, Colin, Hailey, Mason), brother Bob (Nancy) and many nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Erie, Bernie went on to serve in the US Army during the Korean War after high school.
After returning home, he worked at American Meter while raising his family, retiring after 43 years. A master tinkerer, he could fix anything from small engines to kitchen utensils. His woodworking creations were popular at craft fairs and grace the homes of family and friends and he enjoyed teaching these skills. For 60 years, he could be seen on his tractor mowing his lawn and working in his garden. He enjoyed keeping busy with his hobbies, listening to polkas on Sunday mornings, and homemade cookies "done to perfection".
So many reasons he will be remembered with love.
Friends may call at St. Boniface Church on Saturday, January 24th from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Mass there at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Mary, Queen of Peace Mausoleum.
