Bernerd D Formo

Bernerd “Bernie “ Duane Formo, age 74, resident of Underwood, died on July 29th, 2023 at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls.

Bernie was born on February 15th, 1949 in Fergus Falls, MN to Kenny and Leone Formo. He attended school in Fergus Falls and graduated with the Class of 1967. Following high school he attended Moorhead Technical College. He graduated with a degree in Refrigeration. He married Patricia “Patty” Lynn Germundson on October 12, 1974. They were married at First Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls.  Bernie was a man of many talents. Working in construction and for Mid-Am Dairy taught him a strong work ethic. He retired from Mid-Am Dairy as a Boiler Engineer and continued to work a variety of jobs years after.

Bernie had a fun personality and loved spending time with his family. His grandchildren were very special to him. He also loved spending time in his garage watching football surrounded by friends. He was also a lover of music especially the Blues. He loved live music and attended the Fargo Blues Festival every year. In earlier years Bernie enjoyed boating, camping and fishing.

Bernie is survived by his wife , Patty; Children: Ben Formo (Krista Larum), Angie (Cameron) Cordner, Grandchildren: Brandon Barrett, Caleb Formo, Ava Formo, Ivan Cordner, Dax Cordner and one brother, Tim Formo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Craig Formo.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Glende Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls at 11:00am. Visitation will take place at the Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.
