Bernice Bolanowski Obituary
She was funny, intelligent and always had something to add to every conversation. She loved to make people laugh.
Born in Hazelton, Pennsylvania December 4,1929, moved to Flint, Michigan at a young age where she attended St. Matt's High School. She went on to graduate from Hurley School of Nursing and worked at Hurley Hospital, moved on to a private practice where she worked for Dr. Orestes Iung, finishing her career at GMSPO hospital. After retiring, she and her husband, Benny, moved to East Tawas, Michigan, where her, her husband and family vacationed often. Then to Swartz Creek, Michigan, and from there to Missouri City, Texas, where she peacefully passed.
She is survived by her 6 children. Chris, Joe (wife Brenda), Jeanine, Mike (wife Lisa), Bernard (wife Debbie) and Marie (husband Mark). Grandchildren Brandon (wife Candace), Joey, Amanda (husband Dustin), Josh, Sarah, Shaina, John and Scarlet (husband Justin). Great grandchildren, Sophia, Ryleigh, Kellan, Harper, Steven, Robbie Joyce and Royce. Preceded in death are husband Bernard and grandson Robbie.
A memorial service will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in East Tawas, Michigan in Spring of 2026. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in East Tawas, Michigan. After burial luncheon at Holy Family Catholic Church.
