Mattie "Bernice" Coffman Campbell was born on October 17, 1933 to the late Andrew Coffman and Elza McMeans in Hardin County, Tennessee.
On March 19, 1949, she was united in marriage to Elmer Lee Campbell, who preceded his wife in death on July 31, 2009.
Mrs. Campbell worked as a seamstress at Clifton Manufacturing in Savannah, Tennessee. She was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church in Counce, Tennessee. Bernice loved growing flowers, cooking, crocheting, sewing, quilting, and various other crafts. She was affectionately known as "Aunt Bert" to her many nieces and nephews.
Bernice Campbell went home to be with the Lord at the age of 92 at her home in Counce, Tennessee on October 24, 2025. She was surrounded by loving family and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and her little dog, "TuTu".
She is survived by her son, Lamar Campbell and his wife Bethany of Counce, Tennessee; brother, Billy Coffman of Counce, Tennessee; sisters, Virginia Bailey and her husband John of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Diane Bailey of Counce, Tennessee, and Joyce Crum of Glen, Mississippi; grandson, Brandon Lee Campbell of Michie, Tennessee; and great grandchildren, Brandon Lee Campbell, Jr. of Savannah, Tennessee and Mason "Jackson" Campbell and Emersyn "Ainslee" Campbell, both of Ramer, Tennessee.
In addition to her husband and parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Ann Campbell; brother, Roy Coffman; sisters, Inez Collins and an angel baby girl.
