Bernice Louise (Anderson) Casto, 79 of Ripley, passed away March 19, 2026 at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg.
She was born February 21, 1947, at Charleston, WV, daughter of the late David Arnold Anderson and Genavee Anderson. She was a waitress for over 20 years at Shoney’s in Ripley. Her greatest joys were being around her family and reading
She is survived by her children, Valerie Casto, Denvil R. (Emily Brush) Casto II, and Melissa (A.J) Wahner; former daughter-in-law Tonya Davis; her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly: Adrienne Casto, Shaune Brush, Jazmyn Rivenbark, Ashley Wahner, Brooke Wahner, Josh Wahner, Ray Casto III, Grayson Casto and Ravyn Casto; great-grandchildren Alivia Easter, Jamie Brush, Sammy Brush, Jace Alderman and Nathan Brush; sister Charlotte Warmowski and brothers James (Kandell) Anderson and David (Linda) Anderson. Also survived by several nieces and nephews along with many extended family members and friends she considered family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Denvil Casto; daughters Stephanie Casto and Denise Rene Casto; grandchild, Randi Miller; siblings, Everett Anderson, Sharon Wilson, Dorothy Cook, Terry Anderson and Mary Ann Williams along with several brothers and sisters-in-law.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Monday, March 23, 2026 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Aaron Melhorn officiating. Burial will be in the Baptist Grove Cemetery, Frozen Camp. Friends may call from 11:00 am util the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
