Bernice is preceded in death by her husband, Ray; her parents Louis and Evelyn Bartz; her sister, Elaine Smith; as well as a sister and twin brothers in infancy.

A funeral service for Bernice will be held at 11:00 am on Monday February 23, 2026, at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine with Rev. Todd Jerabek officiating.
