George, Bernice Elizabeth (Clark), 91, Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday April 2, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. Born April 15, 1933, Huntingdon County, daughter of the late Norman and Alma (Shields) Clark. Preceded in death by husbands, Harold Hollibaugh and Peter George; and life partner, Edward Frash. Also preceded in death by 2 sons, Gene W. Hollibaugh and Larry D. Hollibaugh. Survived by daughter, Vickiy L. Morgan, Jacksonville Florida; 8 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; siblings, Norman Clark and Bertha Whitsel; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ms. George was a cosmetologist. She later owned a restaurant in Virginia. Ms. George later ran the Hill Valley Hotel for many years with husband, Pete George, and later ran The Rainbow Bar and Restaurant in Coalport, PA. Ms. George retired in the late 1990’s to her home in Sunrise Acres where she passed. She loved to travel and saw John F. Kennedy at the Rotunda while he lay in state after his assassination. Bernice loved to cook and host holidays at her home for her extended family and friends. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday April 9, 2025, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Thursday April 10, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, Joseph Barrett, officiant. Interment to follow at Germany Valley Cemetery, Shirleysburg. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 61 E. Shirley St., Mount Union, “Honored Provider of Veterans Funeral Care™.” Condolences may be made at AndersonFamilyFuneralHomes.com.
