Bernice L. Knolhoff, 98, of Centralia, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024 in Rochelle, IL with her family by her side.
She was born in Ferrin, Illinois on January 26, 1926, the daughter of William H. and Bertha (Eickhoff) Holle.
On December 28, 1945, in Centralia, she married Reinhard Knolhoff on December 8, 1945 in Centralia and he preceded her in death in 2018 after 72 years of marriage.
Bernice leaves behind a daughter, Diane Baldridge (husband Robert) of Wheaton, Illinois; a son, Michael Knolhoff (wife Sharon) of Chillicothe, Illinois; five grandchildren: Jennifer Rench and husband Kevin, Laura Fulton and husband Jeff, John Knolhoff and wife Kelly, Dan Knolhoff and wife Sarah, and Kathryn Ayers and husband Justin; 13 great-grandchildren: Emma, Anna,Olivia, Anna, Elizabeth, Nora, Eve, Lily, Elle, Mia, Macy, Claire, and Camden; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bertha Holle; her husband, Reinhard Knolhoff; sisters, Edna Kasten, Irene Kasten, Erna Hassebrock and a brother, Wilbert Holle.
Bernice worked at Regions Bank in Centralia for 30 years and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia.
A Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 am at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. Memorial donations may be made to Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School in Centralia and can be accepted by the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to Bernice's Family.
