Bernice Ann Lindmark (nee Juhl), 87, of Sharon Springs, New York passed away at Cobleskill Regional Hospital on September 5, 2024. Born September 11, 1936 in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Stina and Harry Juhl.
She was a 1954 graduate of Prospect Heights High School in Brooklyn, New York. On April 14, 1956 she married Richard Lindmark at the Dean Street Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York. Bernice and Richard were blessed with 4 children Victoria Lindmark of Schenectady, Deborah (George) Crosby of Sharon Springs. Richard (Wendy) Lindmark of Canaan, and Carl (Terisa) Lindmark of Selkirk. She was also mom to three foster children and had eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Richard, as well as three siblings, Martha, Marie, and Donald. She is survived by her sister Harriet Acacia.
Bernice was an avid quilter, and enjoyed sharing what she made with many friends and family members. She worked as a bank teller, switchboard operator, real estate agent, and receptionist among many other jobs. She volunteered at the senior citizens nutrition program in Chatham and was a past member of the Red Rock Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Bernice was a past member of the East Chatham Methodist Church and more recently attended Cornerstone Baptist Church of Ames, New York. Bernice greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren with whom she and her husband Richard created many precious memories.
Mrs. Lindmark's family would like to extend grateful thanks to the Cobleskill Regional Hospital and the Palatine Nursing Home for the care she received.
Services will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church on Rt. 10 in Ames, New York on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at the Canajoharie Falls cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home of Canajoharie.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a gift to Cornerstone Baptist Church, 7274 State Highway 10, Ames, NY 13317-3215.
