Bernice was beloved by so many at Vista Grande Baptist Church in Colorado Springs. She loved and cared for our children for many, many years. We have reminisced countless times about the smell of her perfume on our babies head meant that they had been loved by Miss Bernice in the nursery. She loved Mike, her family, and her babies that she cared for. Prayers to the family.

Ms. Bern was the sweetest neighbor a girl could have! She watched me grow up since I was 8, she saw my babies grow up as we were always at my parents across the street. I loved my weekly grocery shopping trips for her and Mr.Mike during COVID and the lovely conversations we would have once I brought the bags inside. She always had a smile and a hug, she loved to talk about her grandkids and great grandkids. I was sad to see them move to Kansas but so glad they both got to be near family the last few years and that I could send her notes and get updates from Joyce. Rest in peace Ms. Bern, you will be missed and never forgotten.

I've known Denise since she and Michael started dating. She was a joy to be around. We used to see them quite often prior to Michael joining the service.
After they settled in CO. I spoke with her on the phone often. A sweet and wonderful lady! Condolences to the family. RIP Denise! I will always remember your beautiful smile!
