Mrs. Bernice May Row Williams, age 88, a resident of the Weaver Community, went home to be with her Lord Saturday December 20, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born January 6, 1937 at Junior, WV, a daughter of late Raymond Francis Row Sr. and Nina Freeman Row. On July 14, 1953 she was united in marriage to Marshall S. Williams, who survives at their home.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons; Stephen Williams of the Weaver Community, Kevin C. Williams and wife Beth Ann of Junior and Bruce Williams and wife Karen of Harding, and one brother; Barry Lynn Row and wife Shelby of Junior. Additional survivors include sixteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews, a whole host of friends and many extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter; Susan Fortney, one grandson; Brandon Williams, one brother; Raymond Row Jr. and one sister; Nina Rae Radabaugh.
Mrs. Williams attended the schools of Barbour County and was a charter member of the Weaver Church of the Nazarene, where she held several offices through the years. Bernice was formerly employed with Riedboard Brothers, she was a census worker, and lastly was employed with the Davis Memorial Hospital in the medical records department. Along with her husband Marshall, they owned and operated Spotts Re Do It Upholstery Shop from their home. She loved camping, motorcycle riding, traveling, and was an excellent seamstress. She was a good mother, house wife and an excellent cook. She loved her family very much and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends will be received at the Weaver Church of the Nazarene on Friday December 26, 2025 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM from the church with the Pastor Johnny Paul Williams II officiating. Following the service, her remains will be cremated and will be interred in the Knights of Pythias/Mt. View Cemetery at a later date.
