It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother Bert Cutler Jr, on November 26, 2024. Born on February 7, 1961, Bert Cutler Jr was a loved and cherished member of our family, known for his wit and humor and his intense need to tease and grand ideas.
Bert was governed by his mechanical skills and his drive to fix things. He was a graduate of Kentridge High School. Bert built a beautiful retirement for himself with pensions from four union halls. He would work as a pipefitter, welder and or boiler maker. Bert lived the fullest by working on his cars, and working on his cherished property located on Spencer Lake, cutting firewood, fishing and swimming. Bert could be hilarious and will always be known for his critical thinking and strong opinions and support of unions and the Democratic Party. To be able to retire with a large workshop, property and lakefront home and four pensions was his dream come true. Bert lived a simple life and kept to himself. He was a believer and will be escorted to heaven in the hands of Jesus.
He is survived by his dad Bert Sr., a sister Anna, and a sister and husband Donelda and Dwight and many nieces, nephews and cousins, and aunts and uncles. Family, friends, and others whose lives Bert Jr touched are invited to the his Memorial Service at Forest Funeral Home, 2501 Pacific Ave., SE, Olympia WA 98501 on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course just chat.
