Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Bertha H. Buenrostro, peacefully passed away surrounded by her two daughters on Saturday, March 18th, 2023 at the age of 96 years.
Mrs. Buenrostro retired as an Aircraft Production Controller after 29 years of dedicated service at Kelly Air Force Base. She received numerous awards which included a Special Achievement Award for Sustained Superior Performance, given by the Department of the Air Force.
She was a member of the Helotes Garden Club, and was an active member of our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Rudy H. Buenrostro and her loving son, Rudy S. Buenrostro, and son-in-law, George A. Rodriguez. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Stella Rodriguez, Elizabeth Ortiz and husband Albert; grandchildren, Denise (Jorge) Cadenas, Stacy (Bill) Bullock, Jennifer Buenrostro, MaryKathryn (Will) Fox, Lesley (Ooga) Park, and Jeffrey Buenrostro; 15 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of choice.
A memorial mass will be offered Monday, March 27th 2023 at 11:00 am at our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 13715 Riggs Road, in Helotes.
Following the Mass, immediate family members will gather privately to remember her lovingly and to honor her wishes.
Arrangements are with Mission Park Funeral Chapels North.
