Bertha Irene Johnson, age 97, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025.
Bertha was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she spent her life rooted in family, faith, and service to others. She embodied the meaning of “never met a stranger.” Bertha always let her warm smile and sense of humor shine through for whom ever she met. From a young age, she developed a deep love for learning, spending much of her time reading and expanding her knowledge—an enthusiasm that stayed with her throughout her life. She lived a long and meaningful life marked by dedication, resilience, and love that spanned generations.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 9, 2026, preceded by a visitation from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side Chapel, located at 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211. Bertha will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Memorial Park.
