Bertha Roehl

Bertha Roehl, age 90, of Ripon, formerly of Princeton, was called home by her Savior on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Eden Vista in Ripon. She was born on August 3, 1935, in Princeton, WI, a daughter of Alfred and Elaine (Prellwitz) Roehl.

Bertha grew up on the family farm in Princeton along with her 9 siblings and graduated from Princeton High School. For over 20 years, she was employed as an inspector for the Sand Knit Company in Berlin. She then worked for Smuckers in Ripon and finished out her working years at Sherm's Piggly Wiggly in Princeton.

Bertha had many hobbies. In her younger years, she loved to go dancing. She enjoyed reading, working in her flower gardens, baking candies and bars, canning and spending time with her 3 grandchildren.

Those Bertha leaves behind to cherish her memory include her 2 children, Brenda Roehl of Omro, Steven Roehl of Princeton; 3 grandchildren, Heather (Chad) Krause; Marissa (Zac) Borzick, Evan Roehl; 3 great grandchildren, Brynn Krause; Scarlett Borzick, Peyton Borzick; 6 siblings, Harold (Shirley) Roehl, Edmund (Carol) Roehl, Betty (Jerry) Graydon, Alice Handrich, Arden (special friend, Delores) Roehl, Daniel Roehl; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Elaine Roehl; 3 brothers, Alfred Roehl Jr., Kenneth Roehl, Donald Roehl; daughter-in-law, Anita Roehl.

A funeral service for Bertha Roehl will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m., at St. John's Lutheran Church, 226 S. Clinton St., in Princeton. Pastor John Stelter will officiate. Bertha will be laid to rest following the service in the Memory Hill Cemetery in Princeton.
