Bertha T. (Riordan) Sharp, 95, died Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Plymouth, after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late George “Pete” Sharp and Richard Runnals. Born in Boston, she was a graduate of Boston Schools. A longtime resident of Stoughton and parishioner of St. James Church in Stoughton, Bertha was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Stoughton Womans Club. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and spending time with her beloved family.
Bertha is survived by her three children; Richard A. Runnals of Stoughton, Theresa A. Goldberg of NH and Thomas N. Runnals of Kingston. She was the sister of Elizabeth “Betty” Lucier of Randolph and was predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held at the Maplewood Cemetery, 950 Pleasant St. (Rte.139 across from Stoughton Armory) on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 11 AM.
