Bertha Elizabeth Williams

Bertha Elizabeth Williams, 89, of Harrisburg, NC passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026.

Bertha was born June 24, 1936 in Russell County, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her mother, Virgie Mae Whited and father, Claude Whited.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Paul "Joe" Williams; son, Mark Williams and wife Teresa of Concord, NC; son, Joe Williams and wife Judy of Concord, NC; granddaughter, Alisha Auten; grandsons, Sam Williams, Philip Williams, Adam Williams and David Williams; as well as great grandchildren, Mckenzie, Caleb, Graham, Eli and Harris.

Bertha married the love of her life, Paul Joseph Williams, December 23, 1958. She spent her career working as a pharmacy technician at several drug stores in the Concord area. She loved her customers and they loved her. She was a longtime member of Harrisburg United Methodist Church. Family was very important to Bertha and she cherished spending time with loved ones. She will be dearly missed.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 am - 1:15 pm, Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, 460 Branchview Dr. NE, Concord, NC. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord Chapel, officiated by Rev. Rob Hutchinson of Harrisburg United Methodist. Entombment will take place at the Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum, 601 Mt. Olivet Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are encouraged to be made to your local Animal Shelter or Humane Society.
