Bertie Coyle Austin, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, at the age of 88.

Born on May 3, 1937, in Quinlan, Texas, Bertie was the daughter of Arthur Dugan Coyle and Myrtle Irene Samples. She married the love of her life Willie Ray Austin on August 4th, 1961. She was of the Baptist faith and lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep devotion, and enduring love for her family.

A dedicated homemaker, Bertie found joy and purpose in caring for her home and those she loved. She was a private and soft-spoken woman who cherished the simple pleasures of life-spending time outdoors in her yard or garden, solving crossword puzzles, and getting lost in a good book. . Yet nothing brought her more happiness than being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life-a love and wealth of family she joyfully shared with her husband of 54 years.

Bertie is survived by her three daughters: Susan Hernandez & David, Jennifer Robinson, and Kimberly Hall & Jay; her grandchildren: Hannah Mullen & J.D., Austin Hernandez & Racey, Katelyn Nielson, Kirstyn Carroll, Jeremy Robinson & Emmaline, Jayden Robinson, Julia Hall, Jacob Heard, and Jonathan Heard; and six great-grandchildren who carry forward her legacy of love.

She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, along with a host of extended family and beloved friends whose lives were touched by her kindness and quiet grace.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willie Ray Austin; her parents; and her siblings: Paul Coyle, Curtis Coyle, Kenneth Coyle, Charlie Coyle, and Joyce Coyle Lilly.

Though quiet in nature, Bertie's presence left a lasting impact on those who knew and loved her. Her memory will be forever cherished by her family and all who were blessed to share in her life.
