Maria Diaz Obituary

Publish in a newspaper

Maria (Olivo) Diaz passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 8, 1949, in Floydada, Texas, to Juan Olivo and Maria Veliz Olivo.

Maria was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose love and strength touched everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesus Sifuentes Diaz, and her parents.

Known for her green thumb, Maria nurtured everything from vibrant rose bushes to flourishing fruit trees-especially plum trees-and she took great joy in tending to her garden and riding the tractor. Her hands were rarely still, and her heart was always open.

She is survived by her children: Juanita Diaz, Steven Diaz, Isabel Diaz, Florita Diaz, and Anita Diaz; and by her grandchildren: Jasmine Diaz, Jessica Diaz, Salvador Rodriguez, Carlita Diaz, Maria Diaz, Nancy Diaz, Barbie Diaz, Jessie Diaz, Christopher Simental, Christina Simental, Maria Del La Cruz, Elizabeth Del La Cruz, Mireya Del La Cruz, and Lillianna Del La Cruz. She also leaves behind a host of loving extended family members and cherished friends who will continue to celebrate her memory.

Maria's legacy is one of love, resilience, and deep-rooted family values. She will be missed dearly but remembered with immense love.
