Mary Thornton Obituary

Mary was a strong, hardworking woman who, alongside her husband, proudly owned and operated their family business, Modern Electric, where they both worked as skilled electricians. She had a love for life and especially enjoyed trips to the casino, where she found joy and excitement.
Mary had a huge heart and loved deeply. She was never shy about expressing her love, especially to her family, whom she cherished above all. Her warmth, laughter, and fierce loyalty will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her daughter, Shannon M. Smith, and her husband, Jeffrey A. Smith; her son, Bubba Thornton, and his wife, Courtni Thornton. Mary also leaves behind six beloved grandchildren: Shawn Smith, Brittany Osornio, Jordan Mercer, Harley Gulledge, Clay Jarvis, and Chloe Sturges, as well as 10 great-grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and joy.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald D Thornton, her parents and two brothers, whose memories she carried with her always.
The family will be hosting a memorial for Mary at a later date to honor and celebrate her life.
