Bertilla A. "Bert" Lee nee Valente. Age 96. Longtime Homewood resident, formerly of Chicago Heights and Chicago's Roseland and Historic Pullman Neighborhood. Born April 15, 1929 in Cesuna, Provincia di Vincenza, Italy. Graduate of St Anthony Catholic Grammar School Class of 1943 and St Louis Academy Class of 1947. Worked as an Office Secretary starting at Sherwin Williams Paint and retiring from Bryles Research Marketing Company. Bert enjoyed many hobbies including reading, doll collecting, movies, music and dancing. Mother of Mary (John) Miller, Laura Lee, Cathy (Dennis) Dalla Betta, and John (Lisa) Lee. Grandmother of Stephanie Miller, Victoria (Connor) Wiley, Mitchell (Marissa) Lee, Norman "Hayden" Lee and Tessa Lee. Great grandmother of Caedman and Selene VanderHoogt, Lawson and Leighton Wiley with twin brothers expected in July. Daughter of the late Maria nee Zovi and Giovanni Valente. Sister of the late Matthew Valente, Mario (late Genevieve) Valente, Mary (late Nello) Gregori, John (late Jacqueline) Valente and Dominic Valente. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Former wife of the late Leonard Edward Lee. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 West 14th Street (US Rt 30, 3 blks E of Western Ave), Chicago Heights on Saturday January 24, 2026 from 8:30 to 10:45. Funeral 10:45 am from funeral home to Our Lady of the Heights/St Agnes Church, 1501 Chicago Road, Chicago Heights. Mass 11:30 am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip.
