I met Bert in 1959 at Mount Saint Charles Academy. He was an incredible person and I cannot begin to give him the level of praise that he deserves. I will miss him and keep him in my prayers. Rest in peace my friend.

I remember Bertrand when he cames in Canada with Cecile a long time ago. I also remember he was a tall cousin. I was 10 years younger than him. I came in Providence in 2017 to see Cecile and may be Bert but he was not available. I met his son Michael who was living with Cecile at that time. My wife and I hope all your family will accept our sympathy. I am Daniel Parenteau the son of Elizabeth Thibault who was daugther of Régina Dionne and God-daughter of Ludger Dionne and his wife Elizabeth.

I am not sure of my first Memory of him because he met me as a baby and is best friends with my father Vincent. However, I remember he could always make me laugh and feel good when he was around. I always was happy when my dad said we were going to Berts today. I am sorry for your loss

Bert was a legend with his many, many friends. A magnet to bring people together. A great listener and spoke with kindness and reality. He was real with his life, and shared wisdom with those who came to visit. A great man.

Back in 1972, Bert gave me a New Testament with key Bible verses underlined to show clearly how a person can make peace with God. His excitement about his new found faith really made an impact on my life. It's 52 years later and I don't know what my life would have been like if I hadn't been introduced to God, and shown how to rely on Him day to day. I will always feel grateful to Bert for caring enough to point me in the right direction. With Love, Cousin Carol
