Charlton: Wilfred G. Beaumier, 77, of Prindle Hill Rd., passed away in the arms of his family on Saturday, October 1st, after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 47 years, Beverly A. (Pettis) Beaumier; his two sons, Michael Ruane and his wife Christina of County Waterford, Ireland and John Ruane and his wife Lynda of Walkersville, MD; his three daughters, Kelly Ruane of Southbridge, Leah Peachey and her husband Gary of Augusta, ME and Melissa Molina and her husband Luis of Southbridge; his three sisters, Connie Blais of Florida, Annie Huchowski of Florida and Linda Louis of Connecticut; 13 grandchildren, Conor Ruane and his partner Louise Sexton, Sean Ruane, Niall Ruane, Jon Ruane and his wife Ashley, Scott Ruane, Nicholas LaBonte and his partner Brianna Jordan, Matthew LaBonte and his partner Yolanda Silyvongxay, Blake Peachey, Alec Peachey, Devin Molina and his partner Sabrina Lomax, Garrett Molina, Elizabeth Molina and her partner Tyler Young and Mason Molina; 3 great grandchildren, Grayson Ruane, Alana Rose Ruane and Lilah Schofield; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Wilfred G. Beaumier, Jr. and his granddaughter, Alexandra Lynn Ruane. He was also predeceased by his brother, Leonard Vien and two sisters, Elaine Simpson and Beatrice Beaupre. Wilfred was born in Holyoke the son of the late George N. and Beatrice R. (Gladu) Beaumier.
Wilfred was a licensed master plumber in both Massachusetts and Connecticut and owned and operated W.G. Beaumier Plumbing and Heating for over 50 years. He retired in recent years due to illness. He was a hardworking professional who was loyal and had great empathy for his elderly customers. Wilfred was very intelligent and had a knack for retaining knowledge on a broad spectrum of subjects. He was especially interested in history and military planes and vehicles. He enjoyed watching Jeopardy and doing crossword puzzles. He especially enjoyed playing and winning at cribbage. Above all he was a loving and loyal husband, father and grandfather.
The family would like to thank Dr. Martin Devine and Dr. Anuj Patel and his team at Dana Farber, Boston and Bryan M. from Care Central VNA & Hospice for the wonderful care provided to Wilfred.
Calling hours for Wilfred will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6th, from 5:00 to 7:00pm in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge. His funeral services and burial will be private.
