Charlton/Southbridge: Carole Clark, 85, formerly a long-time resident of Southbridge, died peacefully in her home in Charlton on December 8th. She was born in Fitchburg, MA on January 12, 1940, to the late Albert and Helen (Hopkins) Shunaman.

She also leaves her dear friend, Christina Mank, and her forever friends, Claire S., Margaret G., Chuck G., Simonne D., Rita J., Ellen C., Bernie D., and Karen C.

She was employed by Astra Pharmaceutical in Worcester and Westboro for 24 years and retired as the Administrative Assistant to the VP of Quality Assurance.

Her commitment to her faith guided every aspect of her life, shaping her values and the way she treated others. After embracing the Catholic Church at the age of 18, she found deep meaning and purpose in serving her community and those in need. Carole was commissioned a Eucharistic Minister at Notre Dame Church, Southbridge, MA in 1999. She thanked God daily for giving her the privilege of being part of this beautiful and rewarding ministry.

We wish to thank everyone for their prayers. Who, except God, knows the graces showered on Carole because you cared enough to pray.

The family extends its deepest gratitude to Notre Dame Hospice for their tender, faith-filled care. We are especially grateful to Kate Bonczek, Amie Richard, Micheline, Jessica and all who supported us during this sacred time.

A funeral Mass for Carole will be held on Monday, December 15th, at 11:00am in St. Joseph's Church, 10 H. Putnam Rd. Ext., Charlton. A calling hour will be held in St. Joseph's Church on Monday, December 15th, from 10:00 to 11:00am, prior to the Mass. Carole's burial will be private.
