Derek Higgins, 48, of Southbridge MA passed away peacefully early Monday morning, December 1st, surrounded by his family. He is predeceased by his Father John "Pinky" Higgins of Southbridge MA and Mother Janet Higgins of Dudley. He leaves behind 2 brothers Kevin Higgins of Central Village, CT, companion Lisa Mileski, Scott Higgins of Dudley, companion Lisa Blanchard, 2 sisters Laurel Robidoux of Sturbridge, her husband Alvin Robidoux, Carlene Higgins of Webster, companion Michael Paschopoulos, and 5 nieces and nephews Nicholas Marchessault, Nicole Higgins, Melynda Henrichon, Matthew Higgins, Caitlin Higgins.
Derek was an artist of all sorts. He could draw like no other, he was witty and funny and man could he shred the guitar. You could show him any song once and by the end of the day he could play it with his eyes closed.
Derek was a sweet, kind soul who adored his family and he will be missed greatly by those who loved him. Services will be private.
