BRIMFIELD – Daniel John Koska, 84, of East Hill Road, passed away peacefully at his home on February 1st, 2026.
Daniel is survived by his loving family, including his son, Walter Koska of Palmer; and daughters, Charlene Moynahan of Brimfield, Judy Koska of Buffalo, Andrea Koska of Tolland. He is also remembered by his brothers, Mark and Jerry Koska, along with his cherished eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his legacy.
He is predeceased by his devoted wife Carolyn Koska, his son, James Koska, and his daughters, Denielle Hugli, and Cheryl Tetrault.
Born on September 3rd, 1941, in Buffalo, New York, Daniel was the son of the late John and Irene (Janoska) Koska. He completed his high school education in Buffalo NY before he served in the United States Army and later established a successful career as a truck driver with Consolidated Freightways, a profession he held dear until retirement.
A devoted member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Brimfield, Daniel found joy in both the tranquility of nature and the thrill of life’s adventures. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing the most, Daniel loved being on a boat. He also harbored a deep affection for horses and birds which was always apparent as he lived a farm like life at home. Daniel loved a home cooked meal, but throughly enjoyed taking family out for dinners. Additionally, he enjoyed the atmosphere of live music and casinos.
In honor of Daniel’s memory, services will be private, entrusted to the Belanger Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA.
