Bertrand Leo Eugene entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the age of 88. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA. Bertrand was a graduate of Joseph S. Clark High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force for 4 years. Bertrand was a former employee with Kaiser Aluminum, and a barber with First Impressions Barber Shop. Beloved husband of the late Augusta Eugene. Devoted father of Andrial George, and the late Bertrand Eugene, Jr. Grandfather of the late Caress George. Son of the late Edward Eugene, Sr. and Leona Eugene. Brother of Yvonne Sloan, Paul Eugene, Sr., and the late Doristine Magee, Joann Kelly, Edward Eugene, Jr., Morris Eugene, and Melvin Eugene, Sr. Bertrand is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Home Ministries, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at New Home Ministries 1616 Carondelet St. New Orleans, LA on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Bishop Robert C. Blakes, Jr.,presiding bishop; Bishop Samuel R. Blakes, senior pastor; Bishop Henry Bolden, III officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30am until service time at the above named church.
