In Loving Memory of Bertual Bernard Lawton
February 2, 1959 – September 25, 2025
Bertual Bernard Lawton, affectionately known at Bert, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at the age of 66.
Bert was born on February 2, 1959 in South Norfolk County, VA and he attended Norfolk County Schools. Along with his parents and brothers, he traveled abroad to many parts of the world. He had a deep passion and love for music, teaching himself how to play the piano, drums, and the guitar at an early age. Bert loved to sing, and he loved to make people laugh. He will always be remembered for his pleasant, funny personality, meaning he never met a stranger.
Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Joyce A. Williams and Harrita N. Walston (Leonard), both of Suffolk, VA along with a host of nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elouise B. & Harold W. Lawton; his brothers, Earl E. Waddell and Harold Frederick “Ricky” Lawton.
