Bessie was born at home to the late Herman M. Brown & Arletta Conway Brown in Quantico, MD.

Bessie was a faithful member of St. James Free Methodist Church, Head of Creek Rd., Quantico, MD where she attended Sunday School and was a member of the Zionettes Choir.

Bessie attended Wenaquah Elementary School and the former Salisbury High School, graduating in the Class of 1965.

Bessie was employed by Nanticoke Seafood in Nanticoke, MD, the Wicomico County School Cafeteria, and the Salisbury University Cafeteria prior to her illness.

Cherishing fond memories, Bessie is survived by her brother, Allen C. Brown, Sr., three nephews: Edson M. Brown (Madeline), George W. Kane, and Allen C. Brown, Jr. (Melanie); 2 great nephews: Zachary & Nathan Brown; 2 great nieces: Breshawna & Sierra Brown and other relatives, friends & classmates.

In addition to her parents preceding her in death are a brother, George William Brown, & sister-in-law, Julia Nutter-Brown.

Bessie will be sorely missed by all that knew her. May God bless and keep her!
