Bessie Jane Fauber, age 99, of New Vienna, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, at her home. She was born on Aug. 9, 1926, in Highland County near New Vienna, the daughter of Ernest and Etta (Post) Selph.
Mrs. Fauber was a 1944 graduate of New Vienna High School, a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and foster parent for several years. Together, she and her husband farmed the home farm where she was born and lived her entire life.
In December of 1947, Jane married Heber Fauber. They were married for 68 years before his death in 2016.
She is survived by four children, Larry (Patsy) Fauber, Penny (Larry) Blackburn, Ted Fauber, Rick (Paula) Fauber, and a foster son Frank Lawwill; seven grandchildren, Alan (Megan) Blackburn, Kevin Blackburn, Brandon (Amy) Fauber, Michelle Swallen, Jeoff (Tristan) Fauber, Scot (Sarah) Fauber, Chelsea (Brock) Allen; one step-grandson, Mike (Lori) Blackburn; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Delores Jean Dennis, Dorothy (Vernon) Compher, Ralph (Joan) Fauber, Delmer Jr. (Shirley) Fauber, and step-grandsons, Richard Blackburn and Ronald Blackburn.
Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
