Bessie Marie Frayne, born on September 6, 1927, went home to Jesus on August 18, 2025, leaving behind a cherished legacy of love and devotion. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Bessie’s presence enriched the lives of many, with her unwavering spirit and nurturing heart.
Bessie was the beloved wife of late Charles L. Frayne; devoted mother of late Kerry Frayne, Yvonne Hasenmueller (Joe), the late Charles K. Frayne (Vicky), Kyle Frayne (Janet), and Karin Nieman (Denny); loving grandmother to Charles, Kate, Amber (Scott), Joseph “Joey” (Jen), Michael (Micaela), Sam, Loren, Amanda, Kyle (Kara) and Kevin; cherished great-grandmother to Carter, Madelyn, Arlie, J.J., Addilee, Juliet, Bodhi, Jett, Crew and Sunny; beloved daughter of the late William & Ara Schroeder; and a loving sister to Shirley Hahs (Jack) and the late Billy Schroeder, Bobby Schroeder, Evelyn Logsden, Wilma Durnall, Dorothy Buchheit and Carl Schroeder; treasured sister-in-law to Shirley Westerson (Wes) and dear aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Bessie had a profound love for family and spent her time building memories with her loved ones. She took great joy in babysitting her grandchildren, nurturing their dreams and aspirations while instilling in them the values of family and kindness. Her dedication to her family was evident in all that she did, and she found happiness in gathering everyone together for celebrations and everyday moments alike. Sundays held a special place in her heart as she loved attending Holy Cross Lutheran church, where she found solace and companionship among her community.
A visitation to honor Bessie will be held on August 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri, followed by a Funeral service at 11:00 AM. Graveside service will follow the funeral at New Bethlehem Cemetery in St. Louis.
As we celebrate the life of Bessie Marie Frayne, let us remember her warmth, laughter, and the love she shared with all who knew her. Her legacy will continue to flourish in the hearts of her family and friends as they carry forward the light she brought into their lives.
