Bessie Inez Smith Klapp

Bessie Inez Smith Klapp, 95, of Reidsville passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Christian Fellowship Church with Rev. Bill McKinney and Rev. Russell McKinney officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. A burial will follow the service at the church cemetery.

Bessie was born in Johnston County, NC to the late Jessie V. Smith and Olivia Nancy Honeycutt. After growing up in Durham she moved to Reidsville in 1989. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved the mountains. She especially enjoyed trips to Tennessee. She was fan of Elvis and was able to visit Graceland. She enjoyed working in her yard. Most of all she loved her family. 

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, William “Bill” Howard Klapp; grandson, Michael Todd Clayton and 8 siblings.

Bessie is survived by her children, Danny Howard Klapp and wife, Terry and Brenda Gail Scott and husband, Tommy; grandchild, Rodney Lee Clayton; great grandchildren, Brittany and Nicholas Clayton.
