Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Sep. 24, 2025.
Beth Ann (nee Bishop) Baldwin, left this world on September 22, 2025, after a courageous 4.5-year journey with Posterior Cortical Atrophy, a rare and early onset form of Alzheimer's disease. Born on October 16, 1968, in Columbus, Ohio, Beth's vivacious spirit and boundless compassion touched countless lives in her 56 years. She passed away peacefully in Southfield, Michigan, enveloped by the love of her family.
Beth's life was one of unwavering dedication to her family, friends, and community. She was the beloved wife of Clay M. Baldwin and the adored mother of "C.J." Clayton J. Baldwin. Her devotion to her family was evident in every aspect of her life, from the elaborate birthday parties, homemade costumes and holiday scavenger hunts she planned to the tender care she provided to her cherished family dog, Sadie. Beth's siblings, Amy Bishop Scheidler (Paul) and Donald G. Bishop II (Paige), along with her brother-in-law Chris (Dina) Baldwin, and her nieces and nephews - Abigail (Jacob) Braun, Lindsey and Zachary Scheidler, Donnie III, and Dylan Bishop, and Suzanne Baldwin - will forever remember her joyful presence and nurturing spirit.
Beth's legacy is also marked by her professional and creative accomplishments. Though she attended Oakland Community College for a year, her enterprising nature led her to join the workforce, where she excelled in sales at the Royal Oak Mirror newspaper and World of Floors. Her entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as the author and illustrator of the children's book "Snowball: The Adventures of a Suburban Polar Bear," and through her ventures in Limitless Photography and Renovation Resource. Beth also served her community as a Customer Service Representative at Home Depot, always going above and beyond to assist others.
Beth's faith and Catholic upbringing was at the core of her being. Her interests and activities reflected the depth of her character; she was an avid reader, a devoted mother, a rock collector and painter, and a skilled gardener and loved camping. Beth's commitment to service was unwavering, as she volunteered and chaired committees at her son's schools, sought out the homeless to provide meals, hygiene and comfort items, and regularly cared for sick family and friends. Her advocacy for social justice and her participation in Breast Cancer Walks are testaments to her desire to make the world a better place.
Beth's passing was preceded by her loving parents, Donald G. Bishop and Donna M. Bishop, as well as her grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She also is now reunited with her dear friends Lauri, Vanessa, and Lara, who also passed too soon.
Beth Ann Baldwin's life was a tapestry of kindness, creativity, and love. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her legacy will continue to inspire acts of compassion and service. As we say farewell to Beth, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a soul that will continue to shine brightly in our memories.
