Linda Carol Kelly

Linda Carol Kelly, age 71, of Sterling Heights, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025 surrounded by family. She was born July 30, 1954, to Rita and Melvin Westover in Highland Park, Michigan.

Linda's life was defined by love-especially the love she poured into her family. She was the heart and soul of her home, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was found in the people she cherished most.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Michael, with whom she shared 46 beautiful years of marriage, beginning on May 12, 1979, in Berkley, MI. Together they raised five children, who were the pride of her life: Danielle (Hassan) Abbiss, Kari Kelly, Michael (Mandy) Kelly, James "Ryan" (Jessica) Kelly, and Erin (Tony) Gumma.

Her legacy continues in her adored grandchildren-Alexa, Ashlyn, Kennedy, Michael III, Ava, James, Noah, Jacob, Zachery, Eliana and Anthony-and her precious great-granddaughter, Gianna. To them, she wasn't just Grandma or Nana, she was their biggest cheerleader, their safe place, and the source of endless hugs, laughter, and warmth. She delighted in every milestone, every celebration, and every moment spent together. Her family will forever remember her as the Nana who made everything feel special, no matter the occasion.

Linda is also survived by her brother, Brad Westover, and her nephew Daniel (Valerie) Westover and their son, Bradley, who held a special place in her heart, along with many other nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Mark Westover and Fr. Melvin Westover.

Her family remembers her as a woman who lived for her family. Every part of her life was dedicated to making sure her children and grandchildren knew they were loved beyond measure. Her greatest joy was seeing their happiness, and her greatest accomplishment was the family she leaves behind.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with a Parish Scripture reading at 7:00 PM at Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home, 2125 Twelve Mile Road, Berkley.

Linda will lie in state on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 10:30 AM until the 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church, 2600 Harvard Road (at Coolidge Road), Berkley, MI. Burial will follow at Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley.

Though her presence will be deeply missed, Linda's spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched. She will be remembered always for her boundless love, unwavering devotion, and the joy she brought to everyone blessed to know her.
