Beth Connell-Weiand, 68, departed for her next journey on October 21, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.
Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator, fearless community health advocate, dedicated mother, sister, and aunt – Beth is survived by sons Nick (Krystal) Weiand and Josh Weiand, "seester" Susan (Tom) McShane and brother Jim (Cathie) Connell, sister-in-law Peg Weiand and brother-in-law George (Kathy) Weiand. Beth was preceded in death by loving husband James Weiand, and parents James and Ginny Connell.
While a farewell made too soon, Beth spent her short retirement volunteering for those in need, traveling the world with lifelong friends Betty and Mercedes, and spending time with her devoted partner, Michael. She will be deeply loved and missed by many nieces, nephews, and her large network of supportive friends and nursing colleagues.
From a speech Beth wrote: "Plan gently for the future, but never live for it, or you miss all the life and love in the moment that surrounds you. You find the center of your world in each moment lived fully. Don't miss it! And when you need me, you'll always find me there, in that loving place in the center of the world."
Celebration of Life to be held November 9th, 2024, with visitation from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a service at 4:00 PM, at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to AngelsGrace Hospice center in Oconomowoc, WI.
Donations can be made via check and brought to Beth's Celebration of Life or mailed directly to the hospice center.
