Beth Hyler Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hall Funeral Homes & Cremation Services - Waldoboro on Feb. 2, 2026.
Beth Hyler, 73, passed away on January 29, 2026, at the Breakwater Commons in Rockland.

She was born on July 23, 1952, in New Britain, Connecticut, the daughter of Thomas and Winifred (Johnson) Mulhall. Beth grew up in New Britain, where she attended local schools and graduated from New Britain High School.

After moving to Maine in 1973, she soon met her husband Austin Hyler and started her family in Cushing. She began her working life at National Sea Products, where she was known for her strong work ethic. Later, she discovered a true calling in nursing and returned to school at the University of Maine in Augusta to pursue this new passion. She went on to work as a nurse at Pen Bay Medical Center, where she provided compassionate care to countless patients and found deep fulfillment in helping others.

In her free time, Beth enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, and visiting flea markets. She especially loved traveling to Disney, and summers were often spent enjoying trips to the beach and the lake. Above all else, Beth cherished her family and took great joy in family gatherings and time spent with loved ones.

Beth was predeceased by her husband, Austin Hyler; her son, Seth Hyler; and her niece, Catherine Donlin.

She is survived by her daughter, Robyn Hyler of Friendship; her granddaughter, Teah Hyler of Waldoboro; her sister, Patricia Donlin of Brunswick; her niece, Sarah Donlin of Brunswick; her nephew, Christopher Donlin of Warren; her aunt, Sister Judith Mulhall of West Hartford, Connecticut; and her nieces, Jessica Mulhall and family of Essex, Connecticut, Kelly Mulhall of New Britain, Connecticut and nephew Brian Mulhall and family of Augusta, Georgia.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 10AM at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Cushing, where Beth will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband and son.
