Beacon Falls - Beth A. McGee, 58, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at her home. She was the wife of Shane Howe.
Beth was born May 17, 1965, in Waterbury, the daughter of Edward and Lurana (Chicoski) Siemenski. She was raised in Beacon Falls and graduated from Naugatuck High School, Class of 1983. She furthered her education at Katharine Gibbs School and later at Mattatuck Community College, earning her Emergency Medical Technician certification and later, her Paramedic license. She was a past member of Beacon Hose Company #1 and has worked for various commercial ambulance services, including Medstar and VEMS, and was a former dispatcher for Northwest Public Safety. She was a Registered Nurse at Waterbury Hospital for 27 years. She spent the vast majority of those years working in the Emergency Department. In 2013, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Connecticut State University, and went on to become night Nursing Supervisor at Waterbury Hospital.
She had a true passion for helping anyone in need above herself. Everyone who knew her knew she had their back, and in the process, saved countless lives both on the ambulance and in the ER. In her limited off-time, she enjoyed vacationing on the Salt Pond in Charlestown, Rhode Island with her family and adopted family, or spending Sundays watching Peyton Manning play football.
Besides her husband and her parents, Beth is survived by her children Michael and Christopher McGee; her brother John Siemenski and his wife Michele; her sister Jodi DiZazzo; her nieces Jaime and Jen DiZazzo; her nephews Matt Rau and his wife Ashley and their children Lilly and Cece, and Adam Siemenski and his wife Jordan; as well as the father of her sons Greg McGee.
Arrangements – Visitation for Beth will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
