Beth Mattson Mitchell passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at her home in Burnsville at the age of 55.
Beth Ann Mattson was born July 8, 1969 to William and Theresa (Cox) Mattson in Mora, Minnesota. She grew up in Braham and Coon Rapids and graduated in 1987 from Coon Rapids High School. After high School, she briefly attended Anoka Ramsey Community College and then took a office support job at a foundry while she attended electronics school in the evenings.
She later worked as a copier repair tech at an office equipment company and then held various jobs including home child care provider, school bus driver for Bloomington Public schools, retail and customer support positions at Home Depot and various other companies. But Beth's greatest and most favorite job was that of mother to her sons Steffan and Alec Hannah.
Known for her caring personality, sense of humor, kindness and love of family, Beth held a warm spot in the hearts of many people. She will be greatly missed.
Beth is survived by her sons Steffan (Kara) Hannah, Alec (Denyele) Hannah both of Pine City; mother Terri Cox Davis of Plymouth; sister Deb (Cris) Thell of St. Cloud; grandchildren Luna Hannah, Autumn Hannah; nephews Nolan Thell, Jonah Thell; stepmother Julie Marie Haugen; former partner Corey Hannah and former husband Jon Mitchell; stepson Christian Mitchell; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Bill Mattson; grandparents; great-grandparents; uncle Ron Cox; aunts LaVerne Carlson and Carol DeMarre.
Deacon Gene Biever will officiate at funeral services for Beth at 3 PM; Thursday (10/24) with a 2 hour visitation prior to the service all at the Swanson Funeral Chapel in Pine City. The interment will take place in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Pine City.
