Beth Elaine Savard, passed away on September 9, 2024, at the age of 90. Beth was born on November 1, 1933, in Hubbardston, Michigan, she lived a full life marked by her dedication to family, community, and her many interests.
An accomplished individual, Beth graduated as valedictorian from Gladwin High School in the class of 1951. She was married to Lloyd Savard in 1952, and he predeceased her in 2012. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Parish, St. Christopher Church. She devoted 20 years of her professional life to Saginaw Distributors, where her contributions were well known and appreciated.
Beth's passions extended beyond her career; she was a woman of many talents. She enjoyed painting, creating crafts, crocheting, and knitting. An avid gardener, she took great joy in cultivating both vegetable and flower gardens, as well as indulging her love for reading, doing puzzles, and playing poker. Her trips to the casino were often full of laughter and enjoyment.
Beth maintained her wit and wisdom up until the very end, which was important to her. Her greatest accomplishments were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted mother whose love was evident in every facet of her life.
She is survived by five children, Michael and Marilyn Savard, Cheryl Lake, Rick and Cherie Savard, Kevin and Sue Savard, and Terry and Leanne Savard; fifteen grandchildren, Michelle and Fred Fitch, Melissa and Daniel Gibson, Megan and Michael Martinka, Tracey and John Looby, Brent and Danielle Lake, Laura Lake, Julie and Rick Jordan, Kathy Campbell, Kristie and David Monge, Ryan and Jackie Savard, James and Lana Czyzewski, Melissa Rabidoux, Max Savard, Madison Savard, and Jack Savard; thirty-four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Beth is predeceased by her beloved husband, Lloyd Savard; her parents, Stanley and Opal (Dick) Harris; her brothers, Dale Harris and Phil Harris, and her sister, Beverly Murphy.
Beth also leaves behind her beloved dog, Scruffy.
A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at St. Francis de Sales Parish, St. Christopher Church, 3945 Williamson, Saginaw, MI 48601, with cremation to follow the service. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. Fr. John Mancini will officiate the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Humane Society of Saginaw County. Arrangements were entrusted to W.L.
