Beth Schoenwolf Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service - Ahoskie Chapel on Dec. 6, 2024.
AHOSKIE, NC - Beth Ann Schoenwolf, affectionately known as "Pixie," passed away on December 4, 2024, in Ahoskie, North Carolina, at the age of 68 with her family by her side. Born on January 28, 1956, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Beth lived a life full of love, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Beth was a dedicated homemaker whose greatest joy came from spending time with her beloved grandchildren. While Beth and Walter lived in Mississippi, the summers were often spent traveling to visit their grandchildren, and she delighted in showering them with the latest games and toys, courtesy of her fondness for Amazon shopping. Building puzzles was a past-time Beth and her grandchildren often shared together and even had a designated "puzzle table". Known to her grandchildren as "Granny," Beth cherished every moment with them.
A die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, Beth's passion for the team was matched only by reading on her Kindle. Her home was always filled with laughter, love, and the echoes of "I love you," which she insisted on everyone saying before ending any phone call. Beth's spirit of gratitude and her loving heart touched the lives of all who knew her.
Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha Richardson Lockett and William Lockett; her brother, William Lockett; sister-in-law, Barbara Sanchez; and brother-in-law, Robert Schoenwolf.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her devoted husband of forty-seven years, Walter Schoenwolf; daughter Sheila Wilson and husband Anthony, son John Simmons and wife Elizabeth and daughter Michelle Inge and husband Donald; sisters Kathleen Welsh, and Leslie Scherer and husband Frank; brothers Kevin Lockett, and Mark Lockett and wife Tonia; sister-in-law Catherine Martin, and sister-in-law Constance Schoenwolf. Also left to treasure the memories made with her are grandchildren Thomas, Kayla, Alexia, James, Jocelyn, and Alyssa.
A service to celebrate Beth's life will be held on Saturday, December 21, at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Peace, Princess Anne Memorial Park, 1110 North Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23454. A Celebration of Life will follow the service at Courthouse Horizons, 961 Birdneck Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23456
