Beth A. Shook, age 62, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green. She was born on December 23, 1961, in Bowling Green to Charles A. & Genevieve Elizabeth (Nelson) Shook, Jr. Beth married Vernon "Skip" Greenwell, and they later divorced.
Surviving Beth is her mother, Genevieve Shook; daughters, Dana (Matt) Ruble of Fostoria, Amanda (Ryan Kilbarger) Greenwell of Bowling Green; brothers, David (Cindy) Shook, Jeffrey Shook; sister, Brenda (Mark) Tober; grandchildren, Alex (Kali) Marion, Lilly (Tyler Brookins) Marion, Christian Sherwood, Triston Rhoads, Sara Rhoads; great-grandchildren, Greyson Marion, Ezekiel Marion-Brookins. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles, and sister, Christy Eubank.
Beth was a 1980 graduate of Lakota High School, and then attended University of Toledo where she earned an associate's degree as a Medical Assistant. Among many hobbies over the years, Beth enjoyed crafting, listening to the Sasquatch Chronicles, watching horrible "B" and Sci-Fi movies, and had an eclectic music selection. She had a passion for traveling, and a couple fun facts was that she has visited all 50 states and had the opportunity to go camping with Ted Nugent. Beth had a love for nature, her favorite park she would visit often was Oak Openings in Whitehouse, and she loved all things spooky as Fall was her favorite time of year. She was always down to having a good time and will be remembered for her fun personality.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 11 AM – 3 PM at Oak Openings Park-Buehner Center (5402 Wilkins Rd Whitehouse, Ohio 43571). All arrangements have been entrusted to Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio. Memorial donations may be made to Beth's family in c/o Barndt Funeral Home.
