Bethel Bueche Obituary
Bethel Melder Bueche, born on September 1, 1938, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the age of 87.
Bethel was born in Glenmora, Louisiana. She graduated from Glenmora High School, then moved to Baton Rouge and worked as a finance secretary. She was an avid LSU fan and loved to dance.
Bethel is survived by her daughters, Patti Gunter (Tony) and Jackie Pfeifer; grandchildren, Christy Schexnaildre, Jason Gunter, Tony Gunter, Jr., Kati LeBeau, Beau Holmes, and Brittani Holmes; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, Donald Bueche; parents, Croker and Elma Melder; daughter, Rhonda Lane Borne; sisters, Patty Britt and Geraldine Willis; brother, Felix Melder; nephew, Bill Britt, Jr.; and son-in-law, Garry Pfeifer.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, beginning at 1:30 p.m. with a service to follow at 2:30 p.m., officiated by Pastor Lewis Richerson. A private burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
The family would like to express special thanks to the nursing staff at Pointe Coupee Hospice, and to their niece, Laurie Reed, for their support during this difficult time.
